Founded in 1897 at State Female Normal School in Farmville, Virginia, Kappa Delta began with four women and a vision for lasting friendship and personal growth. Today, the sorority has 167 collegiate chapters and over 150 alumnae chapters, focusing on friendship, integrity, leadership, and service.

The Wake Forest chapter, chartered in 1993, engages members in campus leadership, academics, and community service. Signature programs include the annual Shamrock 5K supporting child abuse prevention and partnerships with local organizations like Girl Scouts, fostering confidence, connection, and meaningful impact on campus and beyond.
